Easy Energy Balls
Easy Energy Balls
These easy protein balls are just 100 calories and make a great mid morning snack or to help with an afternoon slump. They taste great with a hot drink.
My toddler adores them straight out of the fridge
Ingredients (makes 20 balls)
- 10 pitted dates
- 100g porridge oats
- 5 tbsp peanut butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 2 tbsp flaxseed
- 50g dark chocolate, grated
Method
- Soak the dates in water for about 10 minutes, then blend until smooth.
- Add all remaining ingredients and blend again until the mixture reaches a chunky, combined consistency.
- If the mixture is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until you reach your desired texture.
- Roll into small balls and store in the fridge until ready to use.
